These past four years... whoa, right?! Each year I think, "Okay, that was intense," but then the next year rolls around, and it's like, "Hold my cocoa beans!" The ongoing saga since 2020 has been a wild ride, and 2024 is no exception. Despite what some might think, we're not quite back to 'normal' yet and I’m having my doubts we’ll ever be back where we were. Supply chains are still doing the cha-cha, prices continue to soar (the new cocoa market high has been up a staggering 400% this year alone) and inflation isn't just knocking – it's barged right in! It’s a lot.
And then there's Black Friday/Cyber Monday. It feels like everyone – including their support animals, sourdough starters, and that distant relative you met once – is bombarding us with sales.
Honestly, it's overwhelming and I’m a bit weary.
This message is your one and only heads-up from us about the big BFCM event.
So, what's the deal? After 20 years in business, 4 years ago marked our first-ever Black Friday sale. And while I'm still a bit of a contrarian at heart (stop laughing), I'm doing in again – but still our way.
In the past, we've done Appreciation events, Expansion discounts, and the "HOLY DUCKING CACAO, WHAT JUST HAPPENED" specials. This year, with inflation nipping at our heels, I'm feeling that pull once more for you my loyal customers.
From Friday at midnight to Tuesday at midnight (yes, that's Friday through Monday), use our anti-BFCM, anti-inflation code DUCKINFLATION20 for a sweet deal. Use this code to get 20% off (yep, for 20 years in business) on all edible goodies in our retail store. Equipment is excluded, though – our margins are thinner than a fine chocolate wafer, and we can't stretch that far.

Please be patient with our turn around time. If this year is anything like last year it will take us more than the usual 1-3 days to get your order out after you receive the shipping notification. We will get everything out as quick as we can but tracking numbers could well take a week before they actually are valid.
FAQ:
No, you cannot combine it with any other offer as our system won’t permit it.....except you can get Free Shipping if your order after the discount is $100-$280....it permits that.
We are not offering it for Wholesale due to the aforementioned supply chain and cost increases. I’m really sorry.
And DUCK, it pains me to say it, but if you come back to me and ask me to apply the code to something you just bought a couple days ago…in lieu of getting really annoyed and being an asshole, I will most likely will literally just ignore you - including any other questions you might have in that email. You’ve been warned. I have to draw the line somewhere.
PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE be patient with your order. Will be fulfilling them FIFO (first in first out) and even after your order is processed, it might be 3 or 4 or even 5 or 6 days before it ships after we process it and you get the tracking number. Please try to refrain from writing to ask about your order as it will only slow us down. If you do write, there is again a good chance I’ll just send you a link to this post.
