Drum Roasting Seminar
The last few editions of Ask the Alchemist I’ve focused on roasting and simplifying how you roast. Those are easy, if lengthy, words to say. I get you might need to hear it first hand and ask clarifying questions. Enough people asked for just that that I have decided to offer you that opportunity.
It has been a spell since I've done a roasting seminar but the lovely folks at Indi Chocolate (in Seattle Washington) have opened their space to me when the Northwest Chocolate Festival is going on.
And fear not, you can attend both the festival and the Roasting Seminar as we took your advice and am offering it after the festival, on Monday October 6, 2025.
It is an in depth, hands on seminar on profile drum roasting.
It is an all day affair where you will find out first hand how much of a wordy-assed Alchemist I really am.
You don't have to be professional chocolate maker to attend. Most people who attend are home chocolate makers who are deeply frustrated by the the seemingly random trial and error method. I'll be pulling back that curtain of mystery and showing how you can methodically and predictably drum roast any bean well that crosses your path
