Ghana has RETURNED

18 months ago I announced that fan favorite chocolate powerhouse Ghana was gone and that by all accounts it was not coming back anytime soon. It had been over sold by some 1.1 BILLION POUNDS.

Well, humans are persistent and life carries on.

Conventional Ghana beans, certified ethically sourced by the Rain Forest Alliance, has returned.

Because I tend to just tell it like it is, you’ll note that although the prodigal son has returned, it did not come back at the same price. It is roughly twice the price it was BUT it is not three times the price like you may have noticed many of the more specialty beans are.

Ghana RFA 2025

This is the epitome of a well rounded chocolate flavor profile and is the chocolate flavor we all grew up with and came to love.  The chocolate is deep and rich like fudge with toasted almonds. 

We have it both Retail and Wholesale. It also makes a lovely Brewing cocoa.

I have two other Ghanaian samples on the way. One is from Three Mountains that we previously had and another is a woman owned co-op in the same region. I’m really looking forward to those
